Board of Missions

Welcome to the Board of Missions

(we like to call it the BoM Squad!)

mission (m?sh?n): a body of persons sent out to spread its faith and provide educational, medical, and other assistance.

Jesus said, "go and make disciples of ALL nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

Life's short - let's work!  BoM's job is to help and support your work; please let us know how you're involved!

What are our people (kids, youth, adults, seniors - anyone) doing?  Click a link or send an email and a BoM Squad Member will help you out!

CURRENTLY...We're creating a new Family Directory!  We want you to be a part of it.  Each person is an integral part of our church family.  Please note some great things about the company we're working with, Lifetouch...

1) Every family photographed gets a free 8X10.

2) Even if you aren't a member or have family that isn't members, they can still get their picture taken and get a free 8X10 so bring a family with you (make sure both families sign up)!

3) Lifetouch takes portrait pictures, as well as, more lively (REAL) photos of your family.

4) You will receive a pricing sheet when you sign up instead of being surprised the day you have your pictures taken.  It truly is no hassle.

5) You can sign up right now from your recliner!  Click below!

Mission Opportunity

Volunteers Needed to Help Iowa Flood Victims

Dear folks on my mission email list,

My good friend Ralph Opgenorth invites  you to join him and his team in Iowa to help the flood victims.

Ralph wrote me the following yesterday (Friday):

“We will be leaving Denver with volunteers and our new Tool Trailer loaded with tools and supplies Monday, July 7. We will first travel to Cedar Falls and join with "The Samaritan's Purse" people so we can help in the town of Waverly where one of our volunteers has a sister in a wheel chair who has no other help. By July 12 we will evaluate the need and available volunteers in the Cedar Falls area then make the decision if we move to Marion, Iowa. If we move to Marion or stay in Cedar Falls we will set up a base camp and leave our trailer there so it can be used for people from Denver who will be going to Iowa each week for many weeks to come.

“We need to remember that the people in Iowa will be fighting against freezing cold and frozen water pipes in 4 months so the need is urgent for helping them quick as possible.

“There are many local people eager to provide housing and service to volunteers.

Our plans for the organization of volunteers has been moving very fast and gaining support from people every day.”
