Grace Presbytery Convocation 2009
Greetings!
After an incredible trip last year, we are returning! Grace Presbytery has a weekend convocation in Gatlinburg, TN, and they have invited our youth to attend. Please follow the directions in this letter. The cost for the convocation is $160, HOWEVER, our congregation pays half of this fee for members and regular attendees of Tusculum Cumberland Presbyterian Church (making it $80). This fee covers hotel lodging, a t-shirt, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Attendees will need to bring extra money for supper on Saturday and Sunday and for souvenirs, etc. The hotel has an indoor pool, so bring a swimsuit if you want to swim. Make all checks payable to “TCPC Youth” and turn them in to me. I will also need a current NOTARIZED “Medical Release and Permission Form” for you (if I don’t have one on file). They are available in the office in a drawer labeled “Forms for Youth Activities” and in the youth room. Transportation has not been lined up yet, but I will inform all participants as soon as they are (we might be traveling with another youth group). A schedule for the weekend and registration forms are available in the office and in the youth room.
. I MUST RECEIVE FORMS WITH THE REGISTRATION FEES NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 30TH.
Shalom,
Tyler

The TCPC Youth group consists of 7th-12th grade students. We try to offer a diverse selection of activities for youth to take part in with an objective of teaching the Bible and the example that Jesus has set for us. The following is a list of some of the activities we take part in:
Ø Bible Study – We typically will incorporate mainstream movies into our study and discussion.
Ø Fellowship – Just hangin’ out, eating, watching bands play, sports games, etc.
Ø Community service – Helping with the hungry, the homeless, the needy, and the lonely… locally and abroad.
Ø Camps and retreats – Week and weekend long getaways designed especially for you.
Ø Youth-led worship – 4 Sundays a year we lead Sunday morning worship for the church.
